Beginner Course
Our in depth beginner’s course is designed to get you to the point where you can safely and confidently hit the waves by yourself with knowledge of surf etiquette and the ability to ride fun waves. The course consist of 6-8, 2 hour surf lessons and uses training manuals, workbooks and DVD’s which will provide you with all the practical skills and theory you will need to progress your surfing to the next level. This course is the best and fastest way to get to a good standard of surfing, with the COASTRIDER team of coaches focused on improving your surfing ability in every surf session. Splashout Girls Surf Day
The Red Herring Surf, Splashout, has been a successful annual event since 2005 and will once again be Tasmania’s best all Girls Surf Day, now expanded to include the NW and North of the State. There’s loads of fun and stack of giveaways to buff you out, plus the stoke of surfing with all your girlfriends. Enquire now as this event is always booked out.

State-wide Location dates
In addition to operating everyday of the year in Hobart we also travel statewide for surf lessons. COASTRIDER Surf Academy will conduct Learn to Surf Lessons on the following dates, at these locations this summer. Keep an eye out at surf stores and on this website for any more dates that we will be at your local beaches. Call COASTRIDER to book your surf session.
